Specialist training on lighting the homes of people with sight loss

This practical one-day training programme will enable participants to undertake full lighting audits and develop a detailed specification for adaptations to domestic lighting in the homes of older people and people with sight loss.

It has been designed primarily for rehabilitation officers and occupational therapists but will also be of interest to housing officers, support services and home improvement agencies.

The course, titled "The lighting journey" has been developed by specialist practitioners in visual impairment and the lighting industry.

Negotiations are underway for participants to be offered the opportunity to accredit their learning through Coventry University.

A series of courses are scheduled for the early part of 2012 , but the training can also be carried out on your own premises.

27-29 February 2012 - Aberdeen
