Research newsletters

Dissemination of research and development evidence on sight loss issues is essential to the development of good practice. Thomas Pocklington Trust is developing an email newsletter service, and works in partnership with other organisations, to improve knowledge and understanding of vision impairment across the UK.

Research Practice Newsletter

Due for launch 2009, our twice-yearly Research Practice Newsletter will share the latest developments in sight loss research and findings for research and development projects that may lead to good practice. This email bulletin will offer news, practical ideas and advice for those who work with the estimated two million people affected by sight loss in the UK today.

Featured articles in the first edition will include:

  • Lighting at home for independence and safety
  • Demonstrating the work of Eye Clinic Support Services: collecting and presenting information
  • Technology and sight loss: does it work?

If you would like to be informed when the Research Practice Newsletter is launched, please email your contact details to the Research and Development Team.

Research Policy Newsletter

Currently in development, our Research Policy Newsletter will focus specifically on policy issues affecting research into visual impairment.

If you would like to be informed when the Research Policy Newsletter is launched, please email your contact details to the Research and Development Team.
