Demonstration and evaluation of experiences of telecare and assistive technology (ongoing)
Ongoing projects in Pocklington Centres supported by external occupational therapists and evaluations are informing service development and understanding of use of technologies by people with sight loss.
All Wales visual impairment database: first stage in development (2008)
This work by Cardiff University will profile the characteristics of people using the low vision service.
The changing needs of people with sight loss (2008)
This study by the University of Liverpool aims to increase knowledge and understanding.
Eye clinic support services: practical guidelines for data collection (2007)
These guidelines build on prior research by the University of Birmingham.
Lighting at home (ongoing)
The focus on service outcomes includes:
- a practitioner’s guide to implementing lighting at home for people with sight loss (2008)
- evaluation of lighting interventions in Pocklington Centres (2008)
