THE spotlight will be on small charities on Local Charities Day this month.
For the first time, the UK Government is holding Local Charities Day on Friday, December 16 to celebrate small, local charities and community groups like our local sight loss charities.
It will put small charities in the spotlight, helping them thrive and show the incredible work they do in their areas.
Minister for Civil Society Rob Wilson commented: “On Local Charities Day, I want us all to shout from the rooftops about small local charities, their energy, commitment, expertise and the benefits they bring to their communities.”
