The key purpose of the Engagement Manager role is to deliver regional Sight Loss Councils across the South East and to engage with blind and partially sighted people across the region.
Thomas Pocklington Trust (TPT) is a national charity dedicated to delivering positive change for blind and partially sighted people. Sight Loss Councils (SLC) are led by blind and partially sighted volunteer members and funded by TPT. The members advocate the needs of visually impaired people in the community and work to improve access to goods and services at a local and national level.
For this role we are particularly seeking someone who is not only passionate about the cause, but who is blind or partially sighted themselves. We need a committed self starter with the ability to use their lived experience to be an effective voice to influence the lives of blind and partially sighted people and create an effective change within their region.
An essential part of this role will be to lead on the engagement with other sector partners and stakeholders to ensure a robust regional network which can successfully deliver all engagement project work.
We already have a strong team of Engagement Managers and we are looking to increase this team and continue to grow our Sight Loss Councils across the country. The team provide a great support to each other.
The role is primarily based at home with travel around the South East region to meetings and events. Team meetings are held in London at the Pocklington Hub.
