The Power of Youth event

Join us to celebrate the ‘Power of Youth’ which takes place during Volunteers’ Week 2022.

Date: Monday 6th June

Time: 5pm – 6pm

This online event will be a chance for you to listen to the experiences of our amazing young volunteers from our Young Voices and Student Voices advocacy groups who work tirelessly to be a voice for other blind and partially sighted young people in their communities.

They will share their various journeys into the world of volunteering and how this has impacted their lives and their communities.

You’ll have a chance to ask them any burning questions about your potential pathways into volunteering and how you can get involved.

You will also find out more about our exciting in-person event for young people and their families taking place in the summer.

If you have any questions you would like to ask the group please do add them to the ‘questions’ box when you register or email: sally.carpenter@pocklington-trust.org.uk

Volunteering can be one of the best ways to develop confidence and learn new skills. It is a great opportunity to meet other visually impaired young people and gain valuable experience that looks great on your CV or university application.
