Thomas Pocklington Trust (TPT) provides grants for a broad range of projects that support the delivery of positive outcomes for blind and partially sighted people around our key funding themes across the UK.
The application period for the first tranche of our funding programme is now closed. Please do check back again or follow us on social media for announcements on further application periods.
We are currently assessing the grant applications submitted in the application period 14 April 2021 – 14 May 2021 and will be in touch with applicants by Wednesday 14 July to confirm if they have been successful or whether further information is required.
Our focus within the grants programme continues to be on projects that align with TPT’s priority areas of Education; Employment; Engagement; and Collaboration and Sustainability.
TPT considers applications for new and innovative projects that will achieve a positive impact in at least one of these priority areas:
- Education: Enabling opportunities for blind and partially sighted children and young people in and entering education;
- Employment: Creating employment opportunities for blind and partially sighted people;
- Engagement: Facilitating the voice and encouraging self-determination of blind and partially sighted people;
- Collaboration and Sustainability: Promoting positive change to improve the sustainability of the sight loss sector. We will consider transformative activities that require an investment to make that change happen. This might include developing organisations’ technological capabilities, restructuring reviews, feasibility studies, partnership working (including resource sharing) or even integrations and mergers.
TPT also funds research and technology projects that support the key funding themes set out above.
The funding programme will operate in tranches throughout the year with set application dates. Further information will be provided on those tranches and related application dates as it becomes available.
