Work Experience Opportunity with the Financial Times for Blind and Partially Sighted Students

Date posted: 21st February 2023

Are you blind or partially sighted and between 14 and 19 years old? Are you looking for a quality work experience placement you can do from home?

Thomas Pocklington Trust’s Student Support Service is working with the Financial Times (FT) to offer an exciting opportunity you don’t want to miss!

We know accessing work experience can be more difficult for blind and partially sighted students. That’s why our offer is delivered entirely online.

The Financial Times is a prestigious global news organisation printed in broadsheet and published digitally. Its focus is on global business and economic current affairs. As well as careers in journalism they offer loads of other interesting job opportunities. There are roles in marketing, advertising, sales, customer care, engineering, cyber security, events management, finance, legal, Human Resources, communications and much more!

How impressive would it look to employers if you could add the Financial Times to your CV?

Come and join us on Wednesday 19 April at 4pm to find out everything you need to know about what a work experience opportunity at the Financial Times can offer you.

You will find out about the history of the Financial Times, the exciting roles they offer across the business, the benefits of signing up to their work experience placement and about the value the experience will add to your development and your CV. We will also be sharing information about how to apply to the one-week online work experience placement which will take place from Monday 31st July till Friday 4th August 2023.

The introduction event will be led by Jacqui Dobson, the Inclusion and Diversity Partner for the Financial Times.

Both the introduction event and the work experience placement are free of charge. You will join online via Google Meet. Places are limited and will go fast so we encourage people to sign up as soon as possible via the link below.
