TPT has responded to the Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills’ (Ofsted) consultation on their proposed Inspection Framework in partnership with VIEW and RNIB.

There is much to welcome in the proposed Inspection Framework, and we are pleased to see that there is more of a shift towards looking at the whole student experience and not just academic outcomes, with more of a focus on the experiences of special educational needs and disability (SEND) learners.

However, as our response highlights there is still more to do, particularly in ensuring that an education provider is meeting the needs of children and learners with low incidence disabilities, such as vision impairment.
