Transition guidance

Moving between the different points in your educational and employment journey can be challenging,  it’s important you get the right guidance and support in order to make good choices, reach your potential and achieve the goals you want.

Planning for these important  transitions between school, college, university and employment is vital, but don’t worry, there is a lot of support available. Read on to find out what is out there and how you can use it to make your transitions as smooth as possible.

RNIB, in partnership with the Vision Impairment Centre for Teaching and Research (VICTAR) has produced transition guidance for young people who are blind or partially sighted. Entitled ‘Your future, your choice: bridging the gap’, the guide outlines the support and services available to assist young people through their journey from school, through further and higher education and into employment.
