Exams during Covid-19: Guidance for Higher Education Providers
Covid-19 has changed how exams and assessments are delivered. New exam platforms can block assistive technology and the screen adjustments on which blind and partially sighted students rely . This has left many blind and partially sighted students unable to complete their exams.
Working with a number of professionals within the university and disability support sector, TPT has produced guidance for staff supporting blind and partially sighted students.
It covers important areas to consider to ensure online exams and assessments are accessible, including:
- Accessibility testing
- Academic support
- Regulatory bodies
- Proctored exams
- Addressing inaccessibility
- Supporting students through remote exams
