Learning braille later in life

In this special episode of the Blind Spot podcast for National Braille Week, TPT’s Technology Manager Darren Paskell speaks to braille teach Norma Williams about learning braille in later life.  They explore what the benefits and challenges are to learning braille and how to get started.

Norma has more than 25 years’ experience in governance for private and public sector organisations. She was born with Stargardt disease which was only detected at 40.  This is an inherited disorder that causes vision loss but can also affect hearing.

Norma is also a member of the Merseyside Sight Loss Council
